The 2019 MNED Award Ceremony was held at Milnerton High School and Alycia-Marie Adams received the award as top performer from BMDHS. She passed with distinction but narrowly missed the award for top achiever in History in Metropole North; the winner had an average of 100% and Alycia-Marie had 99%! However, Alycia-Marie has requested a remark of her History examinations.
The top achiever in Consumer Studies achieved 84% and Monique Moore achieved 83%. Alycia-Marie also achieved a subject distinction in Consumer Studies. Only seven students from Metropole North (which comprises of 66 schools) achieved distinctions in Consumer Studies - two of whom were from Bosmansdam! Congratulations to Monique and Alycia-Marie as well as Ms Mostert with this excellent achievement!
The principal received a certificate which recognises the good pass rate of the Class of 2019. With a pass rate of 95,6%, BMDHS fell into the category of schools that had a pass rate between 90% - 99,9%, which is considerably higher than the National, Provincial and District average.
